How has being a only child affected you?

How has it affected now that you are a adult? Do you wish you had siblings?

I wished I had siblings when I was younger because I would get lonely growing up. Now that I'm an adult it doesn't bother me.

Totally wish I had siblings-too much attention focused on me but on the flip side, I had a lot of unique opportunities because I was an only child

I kinda had both worlds. I am the only child to my parents but they both had kids with another before me. My mom had 3 and my dad 2. So i think I would have been lonely had it not been for neighbor kids to play with but all my siblings are older than me and some by many years which means we really didnt bond much. I was closer to my fathers kids, my half sibs but even then I didnt see them often and really made me wish I had had a pure blood sibling or even more time with them to become close and actually have that sibling bond with any of them. I felt this way because they had their other siblings living with them and have that relationship.

It hasn’t affected me. My siblings are 30/35 years older than me and I hate them. I’m glad I was an only child.

I like being an only child. I just worry about my parents and family aging and I’m by myself to take care of them. Although now I have a partner so I guess I’m not alone. So I guess it’s not so bad too.
