Help!!! FTM, What is this rash!?

My little man was diagnosed with RSV in early December. It was mild and required no hospitalization. He was even almost completely without symptoms by Christmas! Then, New Years Day, his cold like symptoms came back. A few days later, this rash appeared out of nowhere! 
Does anyone know what this could be? He has an appointment in 2 days with the pediatrician and I’m trying to avoid the ER during the flu season. He hasn’t tried any new foods, we use baby laundry detergent, and we haven’t tried anything new as far as lotions/soaps. Please help!

Was he on any antibiotics?

Could be hand foot and mouth. Definitely get him seen as it's very contagious for 7-10 days. Just got over it with my LO. We were in quarantine at home for a week lol it was rough especially because it was during the holidays but we made the best of it. My LO had just gotten over pnemonia too. 🤦‍♀️

I would call advice and maybe have him seen. If he has a fever, better safe than sorry to have him seen. In the meantime, an oatmeal bath can be very soothing.
Rashes are usually nothing but I wouldn't take any chances.

Did he have a fever before the rash broke out?

That looks like my daughters allergic reaction. Get in as soon as possible before it could potentially get worse
