Gender reveal complications.

So my sons 1st birthday is on Feb 1. We are having him a party on that day and I find out the gender on Jan 30. We were initially going to do the gender reveal at his birthday party.

My boyfriend is obsessed with having a diaper raffle for the new baby but I obviously don’t want people to think they need to bring a present for my 1 year old and diapers for the new baby so now him and my mother have planned a new party for Feb. 29! Wtf?!

Like if I want to wait a whole month to have ANOTHER party just to find out gender... they say it’s taking away from my sons first birthday and I don’t agree. I feel like it would be a nice gift for everyone attending and convenient.

Should I make it a surprise for my bf and everyone else and just find out gender with my mom or should I quit being hormonal and just wait ANOTHER month..?
