Is it okay to ask OBGYN?

Is it okay to straight up ask my OBGYN if I could start clomid or femara? I’m nearing the time frame she asked me to come back in if I haven’t conceived yet. But I wasn’t sure if it was normal or odd of me to ask to be put on one of those medications to help, especially since I have PCOS and only get periods every other month
