Am I wrong?

My daughter is 2 months old tomorrow. My boyfriend works 13 hours a day. So it’s just me all day with the baby. The Problem is she will not sleep in her bassinet . Only on me. It’s to the point where I’ve had to have him find home from work early bc I have not had any sleep and on the verge of falling asleep holding the baby. He starts fighting with me saying he can’t come home bc he has no sick time left and I need to stay awake but I literally can’t keeps my eyes open. I get 2 hour of sleep in 24 hours. He works from 4pm-5am. He’s only home from about 8 hours and during those 8 hours he is asleep. So the only time I’m able to sleep is when baby naps. When I lay her down she will scream her head off and I have tried everything! Am I wrong for calling him home? I just couldn’t stay awake and I feel bad bc we need the money. Any tips ? I am sleep deprived and want her to lay down in her bassinet. She wears a halo sleep sack. She’s too big for swaddles and I do not want blankets in the bassinet also we have no family members near by so I have no help.

Sleep with her. He has to work and make money, I’d be pissed if I was him too.

Prop yourself up and nap while she’s in your chest. I’ve done it many times. Put her in a bouncy seat or a swing and see if she’ll nap there. That’s where my daughter naps 90% of the time. ￼￼

I love when people comment without actually reading what was written. She said she can’t sleep when baby sleeps because baby only sleeps on her. 
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Do you have any friends you trust that can take care of your baby so you can sleep? Maybe your boyfriend’s parents, siblings?

Is she kicking off when lay flat do you think? Is she on an angle when you hold her? I’m thinking it could be reflux. 
My little girl has it and I didn’t realise for ages. She would scream when lay flat. She does nap on me during the day now even though she’s on reflux medication but at night she sleeps through fine. 
It’s so hard isn’t it. I get where your both coming from but best trying to get to the bottom of why your baby cries when put down.

Lay down in a bed, start off with baby on your chest and then when they're in a deep sleep, roll to the side and put the baby beside you. Make sure there's no pillows or anything near you. After a couple of minutes just move away a bit and then sleep. 
Don't do this if you drink alcohol, smoke or do drugs obviously. My kids were the same, would only sleep on me. Also bassinets are not comfortable, try a crib. Keep your house warm. A light knitted blanket can be used just make sure you tuck it into the bottom of the crib. Also look into the possibility of reflux, if it is reflux you can use a wedge to slightly incline the crib.

Sorry you’re going thru this. I went thru the same for weeks on end and my son is 15 months old today and he still doesn’t sleep in his crib. He likes sleeping on me or right up against me. It’s tough but if your baby is sleeping on you try and get comfy before she falls asleep. :/

My son did this too. Try putting one of the shirts or nightgowns you have worn under the baby. She may be pacified with your scent. Also a trick the nurses at the hospital  showed me was to roll up a receiving blanket and make a horse shoe around the baby. Tucked close to the sides and under the legs but away from the face and head area. It creates the same feel of being held and gives you some rest.

Are you willing to try daycare for a half a day just 2 or 3 days a week, that way you can take a decent nap during the day. That may help if everything else fail.

I can relate! Baby boy is nine weeks and wants to be held nonstop some days he gives me short breaks here or there but only enough to run to the potty or maybe inhale some food for five minutes. I’ve slept upright holding him in recliner, coslept in bed with him in my arm, everything to get rest. He didn’t do nights in bassinet for the longest! Has to be in halo swaddle (he’s 14lb 13oz!), and we play white noise. He’s a very light sleeper so often I put him down at night and it takes multiple tries and hours before it “sticks.” We’re still up during night every three hours or so despite pediatrician saying we should go 5-7hrs now🤦‍♀️ My husband works 24hrs every third day and a second part time job on other weekdays so I can be alone for 32hrs or so and then have him home a day and a half before I do it again. Most time I have him straight through is every third wkend I have him for Sat and Sun..it’s tough. And we have 15 and 12 yr olds that ride different buses to different schools so I load up baby at 630am and 4pm to get them. I know when hubby is finally home I want to say now it’s all you tonight so I can sleep because I’ve been doing it on my own, but I have to realize he’s working when he’s gone and he’s exhausted too. It’s easy to get resentful but I remind myself he’s working hard to afford me staying home, I just quit my job at the end of my pregnancy. Also I’m breastfeeding but had an awful first month with tongue and lip ties so almost exclusively pumping. It’s ridiculous trying to pump here alone with newborn crying as soon as I put him down, and even when hubby is here to help feed bottle during the night I’m still up pumping. We’re both so tired and hanging in there hoping it gets better soon. Just don’t take it out on each other it’s only temporary.

My older one was like that. What i did was ill put him down, he will be playing beside me and ill have a power nap whenever im sleepy. Nothing will happen u can try that
