-65 expected for next week

So I live in Alberta and next week we are supposed to be hit with extreme cold weather. They’re saying it’s expected to get as cold as -55 to -65 degree weather with the windchill. I’m currently on maternity leave with my 6 month old and I walk my 8 year old to and from

School everyday. I worry that it’s going to be way too cold for my little one. Would it be bad to keep my son home on the extremely cold

Enough to cause frost bite on exposed skin within 2 mins.

What would you do in my situation? I don’t have a car so driving is out of the question.
