Please give advice

Basically I had a crush on this guy, I’ll call him jake. Now jake and I have been talking on and off for a year I guess. I confessed my feelings, he didn’t like me back, but remained to hit me up and talk, so we are friends I guess.

Now a couple months back his cousin added me because he thought I was cute, I’ll call him josh. I saw josh before Christmas at an ice skating rink and hit him up and asked if he was at an ice skating rink because I wasn’t really sure cause I’ve never met him in person (he lives a town over) it was him and we’ve been talking ever since. We get along really well and he’s a big flirt, I’m not looking to pursue anything w him though because I still like jake.

So basically jake and josh were together one night and as soon as they were apart jake started texting me knowing josh is interested in me. Me being dumb and weak responded and then stopped talking.

Anyways I can’t get over Jake no matter how hard I try. Any advice on how to? And am I wrong for talking to his cousin?
