Roaches

I we moved into a house that apparently had roaches, the landlord knew of this but we didn’t before moving in. When we brought it up to the landlord that weve been seeing roaches they told us our neighbors sprayed & the roaches came to our house . We bought some stuff and sprayed, the roaches semi went away, we’ve been spraying Demon nonstop, now we’ve told the landlord again about the roaches and they said they would send someone out to spray.. They send out their brother, my husband asks what he was spraying and he told us “the best stuff you could use, Demon” My husband told him we’ve already been using that & the roaches are apparently immune to it...so again i tell my landlord, their reply was “we need money for a real exterminator” we pay 600 dollars in rent ..i’m 35 weeks pregnant and don’t know what to do ...we’ve priced terminex & it’s 129 to get started but we are so tight on money right now . Rent is due, and baby will be here soon ... anyone have any suggestions on what i can do ?
