How do you know when to increase amount of solids?
I went on a weaning course recently and was was told ‘follow your baby’s signals’ and ‘you’ll know when they’re ready for more’.
However, I’m not sure exactly how you know 🤷🏻♀️
My little man will be 6 months on Saturday and we’ve started purées about 2 weeks ago. For the past few days he’s been having two solid (puréed) meals. Today he had 1.3 oz of peas for lunch and 2.8 oz of sweet potato for tea. Sometimes he has baby porridge for breakfast and some buggies for tea though.
He finishes all of the meal with no issues and would probably eat more if I gave it to him (I’ve made meals in milk bags though and frozen them so tend to just stick to the portions in those to make it easier).
Anyways, how will I know when to introduce a solid ‘lunch’? What were the signs you’re baby was ready?
