I can’t trust my boyfriend.

We have been together 6 months and known each other for a year. In the beginning of our relationship, we had this really deep connection based on our mangled childhoods and fell for each other after we found out that info. He constantly told me that he loved me and then I found out that he was flirting with another girl. I knew he was lying as soon as he said “What?? It’s not even like that. She’s dating a girl.” Come to find out, they had an on and off romantic relationship for an entire year and into our relationship. His reason was that “She was insecure about her weight and I wanted to make her feel better.” I was so heartbroken. Here is this person who I truly had meaningful feelings for just lying to me all of the time. And then he hit me with “I guess your love was different than mine.” Then, after me telling him he had basically destroyed my trust, I gave him another chance. I told him that I’d give him another chance because if I screwed up, I would hope for the same chance. A few months go by and he told me one of his friends asked for him to be in their wedding. When I asked who, he didn’t know who. (How do you not know the name of the persons wedding you’re invited to?) Over a week goes by and I keep asking questions because I’m suspicious and all of the little lies he keeps telling me aren’t adding up. So finally, I asked who was getting married and he says the couples names, obviously slipping up and then when I said her full name back to him. He immediately knew that I knew. Apparently he told me that his “baseball buddy” invited him because he didn’t want me to know it was actually the girl that invited him. He thought I’d have a problem with him going to a girl friends wedding. So he lied for a week.

Now, I don’t trust a lot of the things he tells me. And I don’t know how to fix that but I want to.
