First vacation with my 9 mo.Any tips ?

Hey everyone 
We are going to be vacationing for about 3 days with my 9month old 
We are going to Tahoe this weekend 
Any tips for traveling with a baby?
We will be driving down to Tahoe

Packing recommendations depend on access to stores and laundry machines and how much space you have for packing. 
When driving we pack a few different toys and books and rotate. About every four hours we pit stop to refuel, get snacks and play for 10-30 minutes ( I also have a 4 and 2 year old) at a park or rest area. We will generally drive for about 12 hours in one day. 
If not able to visit store or do laundry then I over pack.  for example 6 days I will pack 9-12 outfits depending on weather and 6 sleepers. Diapers I would pack at least 2 per day over normal usage but if you have access to a store I would just travel with a little bag and buy more as you go so you don’t waste space on them. 
I also pack a diaper bag as a hotel bag and then the bigger luggage for when we get where we are going so that I don’t have to dig stuff out since we are usually packed to the brim. 
If you don’t cosleep see if where you are going can provide a crib if not I take my pack in play. 
I also always take our white sound machine since it helps keep everyone from
Disturbing each other when we are all in the same room. 
If flying I always baby wear the smallest one and take an umbrella stroller since it is small and not worried if something happens to it. While this is controversial to some if we fly we rent car seats with rental car or use public transportation. If we can’t rent car seats in the past we have bought the Costco car seats that are $60 and FAA approved because they are lighter and approved to be used in the plane seat but I generally just gate check them and since they arent our everday ones I’m not as worried about them going under the plane.

I just took my 8 month old to Tahoe last weekend. I packed a lot of things for him but only really ended up putting him in his warm thick footed pajamas with the bibs over them. I also bought him some gloves but didn’t use them because his bear/pajama suit had the gold over kind. Pack lots of warm beanies and a pack and play. I brought his camera and monitor and sound machine and the cabin was so warm
Inside that he slept better there than he does at home! For the car trips he slept for about 3 hours on the way there and then we stopped and had lunch and then drove another 3 until we were there. Good luck!

Over pack. Seriously. I packed everything I thought I could possibly ever need and still had to go to the store. 
We drove during the day and tried to time the stops with when she would need to eat. 
One of us sat in the back seat. She was fine for about 6 hours then she started getting irritated.
