Is the first tooth the worst?

My baby was so unhappy and miserable for weeks! and now finally her first tooth is showing and she’s a different girl! Sleeping better etc...So happy and fun! But I’m worried... is every tooth going to be as bad as the first one 😬 or does it get easier?

I thought the first two were supposed to be the worst, but now his top teeth are coming in and it is worse than before.
It’s so annoying though for moms to say “oh just wait until... it gets worse”
Every baby is different.  Your baby might have the worse of it with his first teeth 🙂

We are on tooth 5 and 6 ( top next to front teeth) and it only gets worse.... I had hoped he would get use to it but he hasn’t. The only relief I have found is giving him cold teething rings and I bought rings specifically made for the top teeth. This has helped immensely but we still have periods of days were he cries and and cries until the pain stops.

My kiddos the first was always the worst until it was time for 2 yo molars those were by far the worst.

Our first two teeth were ok, but the third tooth was bad.

Depends on the kid. But for us with our oldest, the molars and canines were hard on him. We used tylenol and frozen fruit during these times and it helped.

I think it truely depends on the kid. For my oldest it was her top two front teeth. Everything else was "easy". Especially as she got to 2 year molars she could tell me what was wrong.

So far, her first tooth was the worst. I see a second tooth coming in and she has been pretty normal. *knock on wood* lol

I am a FTM so I only have this experience. The first was terrible, it was one of her bottom teeth, and then her top teeth came through and that was the worst. She has 6 teeth now and finally got back to her happy self. I think another one is popping through soon but hasn’t shown as many signs as teething.

Some are worse than others. My baby’s fourth tooth was awful. Since then she’s gotten another one that I didn’t even know was coming because she was fine and all of a sudden there was a tooth. In my experience with my older daughter molars as a whole do tend to be worse than the other teeth though.
