High FSH
So I am 44 years old with an FSH level of 17.7, which I was told is too high to conceive naturally. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. I was also diagnosed with anemia due to heavy periods. Back in September I was a scheduled for fibroid removal surgery to increase my chances of conceiving. The surgery was canceled due to my FSH level. I have have been managing my periods with medication, however the medication is not working as well as I hoped. I would like to do something about the fibroids, but I am not sure what to do. I could have a fibroid that is in the uterine cavity removed. This may help reduce my periods and it may make the cavity a more hospitable environment for a miracle of a pregnancy. Or I can have an ablation, which would eliminate my chances of conceiving. I would like to hold on to the hope of a miracle and have the fibroid removed, but is that completely illogical based on my high FSH level? Has anyone been in this situation before.? What did you do? Does anyone have good, constructive advice?
