Formula?

Question

How much formula do I give my newborn (11 day old)? And how often? 
I was currently breastfeeding but that’s not working out so good. My baby is so hungry. I don’t think I’m producing enough milk. 💔💔💔💔

Start smaller and give more as they want it. Chances are your little one will eat about 2 oz at this point. It will all depend on the baby too. They are all different. My first never wanted a ton at a time. He never drank more than 5 oz at a time even at 12 months old. My daughter (she’s a month old now) however is a piggy. She is drinking 4 oz every 2-4 hours. You’ll know when your baby is hungry again too. It probably won’t be completely consistent. Sometimes my daughter only makes it 2 hours before she’s hungry again and sometimes she goes 4. Formula is expensive though so it’s always better to start with less and make more as needed than make more than they’ll drink and have to dump it.

It’s possible your baby is cluster feeding to get your supply established. As far as formula goes, baby will need 2-3oz every 3 hours or so. Sometimes they might only eat 1oz and be hungry again sooner. Every baby is different though. My baby ate 1-2oz at a time at that age

Have you tried pumping to bottle feed your breast milk? My baby wasn’t good at breastfeeding either, but is great at bottle feeding my pumped milk!

2oz every 2-3 hours... may take a couple days to get to 2oz though. Just stop when baby is full. By 2 weeks old it’s 2-3 oz every 3-4 hours
