What car seat are you using?

We moved baby into convertible seats as she was nearly at the height max for our bucket seat, and truthfully that thing was getting really heavy.
A coworkers daughter will be 2 years next month and she’s still in the infant seat. She’s not exceptionally small or anything either, so I’m wondering if maybe they just don’t know she needs to be in a different seat. But I’m hesitant to say anything without knowing for sure.

Most kids outgrow the height limit on their seat long before they are 2. Ive never seen a child use the infant seat past 1!

My older daughter was tiny and stayed in her infant seat until almost 2. She still hasn’t maxed out the weight limit on her old infant seat (but she is too tall for it..). She’s 3 and a half now. 
With this baby we switched to a convertible much earlier because with two kids I wasn’t about carrying the infant seat around. As soon as the baby could sit well enough to sit in a high chair or shopping cart we switched. 
As for whether you should say anything, if you know the child is over the weight or height limit of the seat (you can pretty easily tell of the kiddo had an inch of room left above her head) I would say something. But if the kiddo is still within the limits of the seat there’s no need to switch to a convertible.

We switched to a convertible right after Christmas. My daughter still has 18 lbs and 5 inches before she hits the max height/weight on her infant seat, but she hated it. She still doesn’t like the car seat, but she’s not near as unhappy now that we’ve switched.

I have a soon to be 2 year old and there’s no way he would have been in an infant seat at a year 😅 none of my older three used infant seats at a year. My fourth isn’t going to make it a year either. I would switch him right now if it wasn’t winter. The only reason I’m keeping the infant one for now is because when it’s REALLY cold I can leave him in the seat to go inside stores with carts.

We’ll be switching him over this upcoming week. He is getting way too heavy to be carrying around in the infant car seat 😅 We have the car seat connect stroller so we’ll be moving him to a big boy stroller as well

We used a safety 1st infant seat and I'm pretty sure the max length is 32 inches and max weight 30 pounds. We switched to a convertible because our baby almost maxed out the length as well. As long as your coworkers baby hasn't exceeded her infant seats maximums it's still okay to use the infant seat. But, if she has reached either max she definitely needs to switch.

We’re switching to a convertible seat soon mainly because he likes to sit up in the grocery cart and high chairs. It’s much easier to get a baby out of a convertible than an infant in my opinion.
