c-section mamma’s??

I’m wondering how long after you c-section everyone started to do things like Drive, walk up stairs ect....I know they say don’t drive for two weeks but the first week I had help everyday with someone doing school drop off & pick up. This 2nd week I don’t have much help, so I may have to drive kids around the corner to school....I’m also wondering how long did you use a pad to cover incision area? I’m also curious to know for those of you that had feet and ankle swelling how long it took to go down? C-section recovery is no joke!!!! 🥺

With me I walked up stairs the next day after my c-section it killed and was so hard for me I had no choice  when I got home because are bathroom is upstairs as for the dressing I kept it on for 5 days and my midwife came and removed it for me and cleaned the area and made sure it wasn’t getting infected and it was healing good I’m nearly three weeks postpartum and I am still sore but I feel like myself way more now I’m more recovered other than that I swear the recovery is way harder than it was with my natural births with my other two this was my first c-section and it was a massive shock how much harder recovery is

Walk upstairs you can do immediately. It may hurt a bit and make you feel sore but take it slow and don’t overexert yourself. I learned on like 4 days pp I couldn’t do more than three trips up and down stairs. It was too painful. 
Driving my doctor said if you can wait 6 weeks then do. But if you must only do short trips and not on the highway. 
My swelling the first time I only remember it being a couple days. The second time it was like a week-week and a half.

First c section 2 weeks out tomorrow. I did stairs as soon as I got home so day 4 post op. I took it slow but it wasn’t a problem.  Driving I just drive day 11, I wasn’t sure when I could. I called my doctors office they said as long as I am mobile enough to look for traffic and not taking narcotic pain pills I could drive. It didn’t hurt at all. I would say around day 10 I finally started feeling much better although still sore so taking Tylenol once to twice a day and icing.

I had no choice but to walk up steps when I got home because we lived in a third floor condo with no elevator.  Just take them slow and take breaks if you need to.  I would recommend trying to get everything you need on one level of your house for a few weeks to avoid over doing it with the steps.  
I gave birth June 19 and I know for sure I drove on July 4 so maybe 2/3 weeks before I was driving?

My 1st csection was rough recovery. I just had my 2nd csection and recovery was a breeze. I drove at a week to quick errands, although doctor said 2 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I would go to like grab a coffee or to the store alone to get out of the house alone :)
My doctors rule is off pain meds to drive and 2 weeks. The incision cover came off day 2 and the steri strips came off in a week. I’m over 2 weeks and scar looks great. 
I’m moving around better I’d say about 7-10 days in and back to my normal activities. 
Again this was my 2nd my 1st I didn’t recover this well. Just take your time and don’t overdo it.

Dont over do it. Listen to your body! But you can walk up and down stairs. Driving I have no idea because i dint ha v any license. I'm 24 days pp and my incision is pretty much healed and I'm even back in my bed laying every way i can now. 
At 1 week pp I tried to do basic stuff that didnt involve lifting anything heavy or bending down. So dishes, cooking, folding clothes etc. 
This is also my 4th c section and the easiest recovery.
