Is cramping at 5 weeks and 1 day normal?

Hey guys! I found out Friday that I’m 5 weeks along and am due September 12th! Hoping I end up having a birthday twin as my Birthday is September 16th! Anyways this is my first pregnancy and I was wondering if it’s normal to have quite a bit of cramping on and off? How long does that usually last? I’m just nervous because I don’t have my first appointment or scan until I’m 9 weeks along (so feb 10th) and I’ve never been through this so I don’t know what’s normal or not!
