Trigger shot do I need it?

So I have been ttc for 6 months I already have 3 kids naturally conceived fairly quickly but this 4th time I’m having issues. I haven’t ovulated strong enough so I got put on clomid and works great ovulate cd17 each month but no pregnancy so this month I want to try letrozole. I got prescribed 7.5 mg right off the bat. So okay I’m going to do that but is there any benefit for me for a trigger shot if I ovulate good on these medicines ? Like what advantage would it have for me? Experiences are more than welcome TIA

Seems like you may not need it. They will do trigger shots to time IUI, if you are unsure about ovulating on those meds, or if you want to time out intercourse more precisely. Probably depends on the RE and office. I’m doing a trigger shot plus clomid this cycle but it’s my first and we are not sure I’m actually ovulating hence the trigger shot. I’d ask your doctor though to see if they think there’s any benefit for you!
