Chances of mc at 12weeks?

I’m So happy I made it this far I never thought I would I had one early mc. I saw my baby at 12w and she measured a day ahead with a strong hb. I have another appt next Monday I’ll be 13w4d I don’t know why im so paranoid something will happen to her during this time. 😣   Does chances lower after 12w? I just am so paranoid thinking what if this week she stops growing or something I don’t know what is wrong with me. I always said once I saw 12 weeks id relax but here I am worrying again.

The chance goes down as the weeks go on, but realistically you can lose the baby at any time. I know that sounds morbid but honestly just enjoy your pregnancy. Worrying won’t prevent or make something happen. And this is coming from someone who had a miscarriage last fall. I might get pregnant again and I’m not worrying one bit. Whatever is going to happen is what’s in store. I’m going to enjoy the ride. Congratulations ❤️

I worried until around 18weeks. Now I worry about other problems due to my GD. I have PCOS so late miscarriages are more common, my doctor said once I hit 16 weeks I should relax, but it was so hard. The PCOS also causes anxiety so that’s super great as well 😆

Your chance of miscarriage at 12 weeks is 1.7% not factoring in weight age and miscarriage previous. At 13 weeks your chance is 1.3%. The number begins to decline until you are 20 weeks, at that point it would be a stillbirth and miscarriage rates no longer play into effect.

I think once you miscarry you always worry and have those thoughts in the back of your head just because of history. I worried with my rainbow and again with my current  pregnancy too. I’m sorry that it’s caused you stress and I can for sure relate. We didn’t put our announcement on social media until around 20 weeks with my current pregnancy.
