Constipation is real!

I'm 8 weeks and I had constipation when I first found out I was pregnant but then last night the pain literally knocked me off my feet and I ended up in a ball for nearly two hours with a heat pack on my back. TMI: when I relax to "go" it hurts even more. Like it feels like I have hemorrhoids along my whole digestive tract. Ugh! My doc suggested stool softeners and I've been drinking lots of water. I'm just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this? It hurts to walk or even just move around. It even hurts to relax to pee. I have an appointment in the morning so hopefully she has some answers for me too.
