Mommies with multiple deliveries... was each time easier?

I’m on baby number 3! I’m 29 weeks. 
Okay so baby number 1. I was 18 and the labor and delivery was AWFUL. I was induced at 38 weeks due to GD. The contractions came sooo fast and SO hard that the epidural didn’t work. The nurse had the audacity to tell me all I was feeling was pressure when I knew it straight up did NOT work. Sooo then panic sets in. The pain was the most excruciating I’ve ever felt. Like I was being burned alive from the inside. I was terrified. It hurt so bad and then not knowing when it would end didn’t help. I remember closing my eyes and I didn’t open them again until it was time to push. I screamed for hours so long that I went hoarse and had a rude ass nurse come in and tell me to be quiet because I was scaring the patient across the hall. My body started to push before i was dilated enough. My ride ass doctor didn’t believe that I couldn’t stop the pushing and threw her hands up and said whatever. She sent the angel of a midwife in who monitored me and let me push until it was actually delivery time. 
I pushed my daughter head out but I physically gave out. I stopped pushing. I literally could not anymore. I believe I maybe passed out for a second. I know they called a “code team “ I wanna say and a doctor and tons of nurses ran in and over to the baby station. 
My doctor said she was going to cut me and she didn’t have time to numb the area. It felt like hot steel down there. My baby girl didn’t cry and was immediately handed to all the nurses and doctor. All I could say was “why isn’t she crying “ over and over and over while I was getting stitch. Thank you lord they resuscitated her easily. 
Later I asked my boyfriend at the time what happened. He said after the dr cut me blood spurted out then she stuck her arms in me up to her elbows to pull baby out. He said our daughter was blue like literally a smurf and limp. 
I blame it on being induced. 
So baby number 2. I refused induction. Around 40 weeks and 4 days I believe I had a sweep and a little over 24 hours later had barely there cramping/aching that was coming in a pattern. It was bed time so I tried to go to sleep because I was in absolutely no pain but I had to pee and when I did there was a ton of bright red blood. Went to the hospital they said I was already dilated enough and I could go ahead and have my epidural. I was like ??? Lol because I was in absolutely no pain but I got it anyways. And it worked ! I went to bed got a full nights sleep and woke up to them checking me in the morning saying it’s time ! 3 pushes and he was out and handed immediately to me. No pain whatsoever. 
I was in awe at how different my deliveries and labor were. I am praying so hard this delivery is exactly like my 2nd.

Congratulations, I’m due with baby #3 on January 27th! I’m currently 38 weeks. 
My first birthing experience was also a terrible experience. I was 17 at the time. It started off with back labour that was pretty bearable, it just felt like I had a really sore back, I was champing it out until it got really bad, I regret changing it out cause by the time I was 7cms is when I was in absolute pain and they told me it was too late for the epidural. I was pushing for 2.5 hours an I was so exhausted and begged for a c section. They wouldn’t believe me that I couldn’t physically push anymore. The nurse had me playing tug of war with a flat sheet to help me push and bear down. My baby ended up being vacuum suctioned out, and I ended up losing so much blood the entire labour room looked like a murder scene. There was a couple or a few 5 gallon pales of blood pouring out of me, over flowing. They took my baby to get him cleaned and weighed, he ended up being 10.9 pounds! While that was happening I sat up for a drink of water and all I remember is my vision going black and me feeling light headed. I blacked out, I fainted from all the blood loss. Because of that I had an extended hospital stay of 5-6 days and needed a catheter to pee because I was too weak to get up and walk, I was literally fainting. I remember being extremely sore down there. They told me I had a 2nd degree tear and needed 5 stitches if I remember correctly. But it felt way worse than that, I couldn’t sit or barley walk for a couple weeks.... I even fainted in the shower when I got to go home, thank god my bf at the time was in the shower with me, otherwise I probably would’ve knocked myself out and drowned lol. So I did this birth all natural and I think it was so bad it was kind of all a blur I hardly remember all the details other than seeing blood everywhere and fainting. 
My second birth was in May of 2018 and it was a way better experience than the first. I had uterus contractions this time around. I started timing them for a couple hours because I wasn’t sure if it was the real deal, but they started getting mlre painful. Anyways, the hospital is an hour drive away in a different larger town, and I was in pain that whole drive, as soon as they checked me, I was 4cms already and they gave me morphine and then fentanyl after a while because the morphine wasn’t working anymore, but this time around I made it clear I wanted the epidural before it got too late. So I think I got it when I was about 5 or 6cms. I basically slept through my whole labour, waking up every now and then because they had to check me. Anyways, I woke up when it was tome to push, felt a lot of pressure, did some practice pushes with the nurses and then they call the doctor to come, I think I was pushing for 20 mins or less, I remember it just burned like hell, got told to push through the burn and my baby girl arrived, I only needed 2 or 3 stitches, I felt great afterwards , was able to sit normal and walk normal, had normal bleeding. She ended up being 8.13 lbs, still a big baby, but was way easier. I’m due in 13 days and I’m scared as fuck because I know what to expect, mainly scared for the pushing part as labour was easy with the narcotics lmao. This baby is apparently measuring on the smaller side thank god, hoping he will slip right out lmao. Hoping for a quick and easy labour and delivery this time around as well.

First was faster but second was easier.

Hard to say.  First was the longest but least painful (35 hours).  Second was shorter (17 hours) but the back labor was unreal plus I had a “spastic uterus” due to baby being in the wrong position, so there was no break between contractions.  Third was probably the hardest because it was 4 days of preterm labor before he came in about an hour and a half.  It was a terrifying experience so even though the BAD pain was much shorter, it was still the hardest because of the fear.

Nope each one was uniquely its own experience and I'm about to birth number 6. I think what's easier is my coping skills and knowledge of my body each time.
