Balcoltra birth control experience?

Question

Anyone take balcoltra or taken it in the past? My obgyn wanted to prescribe me yaz but I said no bc of the high risk for bloodclots because I am overweight.
I've never heard of balcoltra but I think my testosterone is high after having my daughter (I all of a sudden have darker chin hairs and acne 😭🤢) so she prescribed BC to help my hormone levels.
Just wondering anyones experience.

I don’t understand ob/gyns sometimes. That birth control has Levonorgestrel in it, which is higher in androgens (male hormone). You probably mentioned something about blood clots, levonorgestrel has the lowest risk for blood clots. But there are other birth control that have low risk of blood clots and are lower in androgens, like ortho cyclen or Loestrin. Anytime you mention acne or facial hair, gynos will automatically prescribe yaz. I refuse to take it too!
