My boyfriend is jealous of me...

So I found a Facebook group for artists that my boyfriend just so happens to be a part of. I joined, posted a quick doodle from last night (pictured below), and woke up to almost 200 likes and tons of comments of praise.

The post has reached well over 300 likes by now.

My boyfriend hasn’t spoken to me all day. I figured he was busy at work, so I waited until an hour ago to call. He sends me to voicemail. I figure he’s still at work.

He returns my call a few minutes ago and is extremely sharp with me and is giving me one word responses. I ask what’s wrong and he says that I am the reason why he feels this way and that he knows it’s not my fault.

He explains that he’s been busting his ass and posts his art and gets no interaction/likes in that Facebook group and in general. I asked him if he’s posted recently and he loses it and says that he has nothing to learn from me. He said that he was so mad to the point where he left work early, unfollowed me on Facebook, and removed himself from the group. He says that I “jacked his shit” and that I’m following in HIS footsteps so why isn’t he getting the same praise? (He wasn’t being malicious. He inspired me to get an iPad Pro just like him and he encourages me to pursue my art, so that’s why he said that.)

My feelings are really hurt. We’re supposed to move to California together and chase this dream as a couple, but I get a little bit of attention and he’s angry. Like dude, do you want me to succeed or not?
