Still feeling down
During my pregnancy I had every intention to breastfeed, I read tons of articles and got lots of tips from other moms. I had my daughter and we tried over and over in the hospital, the lactation consultants and nurses couldn't get my daughter to latch on due to her tongue tie. I felt defeated but kept trying, we got back home and i ordered a nipple shield and that helped a bit, but since she couldn't latch on she was getting very fussy, i decided to pump and feed her that way. I ended up just exclusively pumping from then on. We had an appt to get her tongue tie looked at and i couldn't go through with the procedure, It corrected itself now though. But to this day, I still regret not trying harder, not using more resources and asking for help. I have now switched to formula and I completely agree with fed is best but still feel like i missed out on a a different type of bond with my girl.
