Am I over reacting?

So our baby woke up at 3a and stayed awake for a while....and usually when this happens I let her be until eventually she gets hungry and tired and is fed and falls asleep. But my husband started talking to her turned the tv on and I told him this is gonna mess up my little routine I have with her. Is this an over reaction from my part. I just feel like dude just cus you have a three day weekend doesn’t mean you can come in and overstimulate our baby idk.

My husband does this... He thinks he's helping. They don't understand that there's a routine and that things are easier when the routine is followed. It's also because he has no clue what he should do, and rather than asking her just tries to do his best.  On one hand I want to be mad... But on the other hand it gives me a little break and gives them a chance to bond. It's kind of a catch 22. Let him know fori it makes you feel and hopefully he'll stick to the routine next time.

It’s funny how the dads end up looking like the fun parent while we look like the strict parents. Don’t get me wrong I spoil my baby to pieces but a routine is a routine and it annoys me as well when my husband just blows it off. I’m grinding my teeth super annoyed. But yes I agree with another moms comment I feel bad because it’s their time to bond it’s tricky

No I would be mad about that too. If someones not gonna be there to fix what they broke then they shouldnt mess with it. My husband still brings our 4yo in bed with us when she wakes up at night, but then blames me that she doesn't want to sleep in her bed 🤦‍♀️

That would annoy me too. My fiancé doesn’t stick to my routines when I’m not around either. Although he was amazed at how well my bedtime routine works when he was home the other night (he works nights).

Not good. Baby beds darkness and no stimulation to know the difference between night and day. I make sure when baby wakes up at night that I don’t switch on any lights, no talking, just nappy change and feed then straight back to sleep x

I have a friend who complains every weekend when he is home he just acts like the baby routine doesn’t matter because it’s the weekend! He’ll be like okay, I’m going out shopping with the baby and she’s like “but he needs a bottle and nap in like 30 minutes” -oh it’s fine babe it’s the weekend! She’s like NOOOO! The routines are very important and yes I would have been annoyed too lol
