If the window was open

Gema712

I'm sure many of you have heard about the grandfather dropping 18-month old Chloe Wiegand out a Royal Carribean window he stated he didn't know was open. My heart definitely goes out to thay family and especially the grandfather. However,I just saw a news article where RC has video showing the man knew the window was open and held her out the window for 34 seconds until he lost his grip and she fell. It also said he leaned out the window for 8 seconds prior.

In response, the family said these are tactics for RC to " to blame the grandfather rather than accept RC did not implement industry standards for toddler safety aboard it's ships".

If the video evidence proves (they've only provided stills at the moment) the window was open, who's to blame for her death? The family says RC safety standards are to blame, but it it wasn't for the grandfather picking her to a window she couldn't reach, she wouldn't have fell? Should windows be able to open on cruise ships? I reason, yes, if the windows are the same height as the balconies. Balconies are at a specific height to prevent people from falling over.

I'm sorry, but if the windows are to standard height and it was obvious the window was open, RC is not liable
