Is 4weeks old to little to go on a road trip?

Question

Is 4weeks old too little to go on a 3 hour road trip? Doing renovations at home. Don’t want to be home with all the dust and noise. My baby will be 4 weeks at the time this will be happening.
FTM and would be traveling alone if I get the courage to go. 😐

We drove 3.5-4 hours at 3 weeks old for her month appointment... Our pediatrician is where we used to live 😅 because we’re crazy and love her and still have family there so we visit and see the doctor during a weekend.

Since my baby was a week old we've been on 6 hour road trips at least 4 times. I moved to another state to live with my boyfriend so we drove to move all my stuff in. Honestly she was fine only stopped to feed her three hours into the trip. We ran it by the pediatrician she said it was fine. Baby sleeps through most of the trip. We plan on doing more road trips so I can see my family.

It’s really dependent on you. But I will say you need to time if well. Try to time it so that you drive when the baby is changed and full and be prepared for frequent stops. If you can, the drive will be much easier with a co-rider so that you have help soothing the baby in between stops.

Do a really good feeding before hand and hopefully you can make it there with no stops! That’s what I would try to do. 😬 but if you have to stop no big deal 🤷🏼‍♀️

Took baby on a 2.5 hour drive out of town for Christmas at 9 days old. It went better than I could have imagined. A mirror helped

If you do I would just stop hourly to take baby out of the car seat. If asleep, then 2hrs max. Make sure you have a mirror so you can see her while driving
