Cradle cap

So my daughter still has cradle cap. I scrub her hair & scalp in the bath every night before bed. Anyways, this morning when we got up I noticed her hair was hard like something was spilled in her hair.. At first I thought “oh maybe she threw up & it got in her hair & dried causing her hair to become hard.” So I washed her hair & noticed once her hair dried it was hard again, knowing she hadn’t gotten sick.. then I noticed where her cradle cap was, it was wet & no scabs were there like they had been precious days.. does this mean it’s healing? Or why would it be wet in that area causing her hair to become hard?
