Birth control pill

Hi! I just have a first timer questions! The first day i got my period this month was when I started taking birth control in form of a PILL. I’m a week and a half in and My period ended as usual but I noticed that I’m spotting just a little usually brown or pinkish colors. What sorta concerns me is that I’ve had sex with my bf a couple times since I started BC and I’ve bled bright red during and after, it was also just the smallest amount nothing crazy! (TMI SORRY). I’ve never had that happen to me before including the spotting after my period! Is it my body getting adjusted to the pill or what is going on?!
