6 weeks: bleeding and cramps

I am currently six weeks with baby #2. I miscarried with my first back in June. I had brown spotting that went to red blood in a couple of hours. This is opposite from the first miscarriage. It has been going on for two days now. I have had period type cramps in my back and pelvic region. I have only passed one clot the size of a dime. The blood is not soaking a pad. I typically only see it when I wipe, which is different from the first too. I have an appointment Wednesday. I was just seeing if anyone has had this experience and had a successful pregnancy?
