UTI or not?
About a month ago I went to the ER because my kidneys hurt for more than a week and got diagnosed with a kidney infection, and got meds for it.
Two weeks later, I went to my primary so they could recheck and I had my period so obviously they found blood in my urine and told me to retest in two weeks.
Every time I went they were closed so about a month later I got to retest.
About a week ago, I felt the burning of maybe a UTI, maybe dehydration, only happened about 3 times, but since I had to get my urine retested, I just figured I would do that and they would be able to tell me, but they only thing they told me was there was no blood (obviously).
So I took a home UTI test yesterday and the top one (white blood cells) came out positive but the bottom (nitrates) was negative.
I plan to go to CVS minute clinic today to get checked, but they use the same strip type.
Should I go there or should I call my primary to check? Or I could to to minute clinic and have them send my urine out for a culture to see as well...
Do white blood cells ALWAYS mean it’s a UTI, is it possible that I don’t have one and just have white blood cells in my urine??
I don’t feel any of the usual indicators now, no burning, no urgency or frequency, doesn’t smell, no blood, my kidneys don’t hurt like they did, I got like a pang of pain a few times last week, but not sure if it’s because I pulled my abdominal muscle and breast still healing as well...
