i have a friend of mine im decently close with who told me today she slept with another girls bf (they werr together for like a year and a half) and i told the girl about it. i keep my friends secrets but i cant let someone cheat on their partner.

This is a good and hard lesson fro your friend. "Don't tell people secrets you want to keep".
As for you. Good shot you might lose your friend over telling on her. But frankly it doesnt seem like her values align with yours, so its probably for the best if you are no longer friends with her (I mean I wouldnt be...I wouldnt trust someone like her around any man I had).

No, that girl deserved to know. I would only hope that she also reprimands her ex. Your friend is terrible for having sex with a guy she knew was taken, but that guy is equally terrible for cheating on his girl.

No it wasnt right of you. Not saying her actions were right but inserting yourself into someone else's drama is not healthy.  You should have told her she was wrong and cut her off. You cant go around telling every woman their husband or boyfriend is cheating. That's not your job. Worry about yourself.
