When should I spill the beans?

So I recently found out that I’m pregnant ... this last Monday to be exact. The doctor told me I’m really early, they’re calculating about 4-5 weeks. I haven’t had a first OB appointment yet, just blood work done. I’m concerned because I had a miscarriage 3 years ago and I was 6-9 weeks along, I don’t remember quit well. So me and my husband decided to wait to tell my family, I’ve only told my best friend and my mom so far. But now I’m wondering how long to wait. My first appointment with the OB  is February 17th, & I’m not sure if I can wait that long, or if I should. Plus my mom keeps telling me to tell my other family, like my sister & aunt. Don’t get me wrong, I want to tell the whole world, but I don’t want to jinx it, you know? Help 😫

We told our parents and siblings at 5 weeks....if you're lucky like us you wont have to figure out when to tell because your in laws will tell EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON....were waiting 2 more weeks when I'm 12 to tell the people they missed. Like the walmart cashier 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Completely up to you tho.

I'd wait till you get past the first trimester but that's really up the the 2 of you dont let your mom pressure you lol. I'm over 14weeks and we haven't told a sole not even our other kids yet. Our last pregnancy we did the same.

Sometimes I told people immediately and just said I could still have a miscarriage because I did have one like the day before I was 12 weeks, Outsiders don’t have all the feelings that we do being pregnant. They won’t be as disappointed as you well there’s no shame in telling people your pregnant and then telling people you had a miscarriage

I told my mom and sister early on and my fiancé told his parents but we waited until a little over 12 weeks to tell my son and the rest of the family. My sister on the other hand got a positive and made an announcement on social media before her first appointment and they couldn’t find a heartbeat so she also had to make a much sadder announcement after that. It’s up to you but there’s less people to have to talk to and explain things to if you wait a little while. Just my opinion. My sister told her 4 year old son too despite me telling her not to so she had to find a way to explain it to him as well and I think it caused more heartache :/

Honestly when I miscarried I didn’t regret telling anyone early . It was easier to talk to them or tell them because they already knew I was pregnant. Rather then my parents who didn’t know I cared in the ER saying I miscarried . I think I put my mother in shock because she didn’t even know I was pregnant in the first place. It was also easier for me at work . Half
Of my office thought I was on vacation tho cause the owner made me
Take personal time to grieve. It was very awkward lying playing off that I was on vaca rather than telling them the truth.
