Should it be fine to have sex when cramping in early pregnancy?

Is it okay to have sex if you’re at 4 weeks of pregnancy with ongoing period-like cramps? 
From my experience, i started to heavily bleed at 5 weeks that terminated my pregnancy. They couldn’t tell if it was chemical or mc. 
I want to be extra cautious this time to not to lose another pregnancy.

Chemical is a miscarriage. Just early. But you can have sex if you want. Cramping is normal. Sex doesn’t cause a miscarriage

I was told sex usually doesn’t cause miscarriage unless there is a problem. I’ve had several miscarriages so I only had sex a couple of times during the first trimester and only when I wasn’t cramping or spotting. But that’s just me and I’m extra paranoid.
