TTC After MC Timeline?

It took 2 years to conceive and this is my first miscarriage - I’m a week post d&c and I know I still have a week or so before we can resume “activities” but my doctor told us to wait 2-3 months before trying again for the purpose of tracking properly and to like reset I guess. I’m wondering how long everyone’s doctor told them to wait before trying again? I have endometriosis so whenever I’m not pregnant I’m in a lot of pain - I don’t want to waste a bunch of months in pain if it’s just going to take forever again. Plus I’ve heard its better to start trying again quick.
