LO has the flu & now pneumonia - I’m worried

My 15 month old was diagnosed Monday with Influenza A. Here is the timeline

Saturday: fever, max 102

Sunday: fever, max 104

Monday: diagnosed influenza A

Tuesday: fever max 102

Wednesday: no fever

Thursday: no fever

Friday: fever returned, max 101.7, brought to ped and he said he has a touch a pneumonia. Started him on amoxicillin

My son is eating, drinking, playing and acting normal. Has a nasty cough and is all stuffed up and has a runny nose.

I’m a nervous wreck... the news stories about flu related hospitalizations and deaths are giving me severe anxiety. I’m trying to stay calm. I’m a first time mom and I’m pretty young and I’m scared. My parents and husband are staying positive and telling me the antibiotic will help him but I am just worried beyond control.

Any words of advice from parents who have gone through this? I just want my baby healthy again and fever free. Hate pumping him with meds but obviously have to to help him.
