High blood pressure postpartum

Has anyone developed high blood pressure postpartum? Before and during my pregnancy I always had good blood pressure. After having my baby a week ago via C section, my recovery was not the best. I had a terrible reaction to the anesthesia which caused me to have dizziness and vomiting. And the rest of my stay in the hospital my blood pressure was elevated. Now that I am home and still recovering (doing much better btw) my blood pressure is still elevated. My OB put me on a medication to get it lowered and I have to monitor my blood pressure at home. I’m so scared I never had this issue before. I hope it goes back to normal. I want to be healthy for my baby girl.
