Montessori? Waldorf!?

Any mamas in here practice Montessori in your home? I’d love to chat with you about how you started.

We started with many Montessori elements from birth. We do what we can in our home to keep it in that style, except we do allow fantasy books early on which don’t appear in more strict Montessori homes.

Love Montessori for the practical life skills! But I'm a Reggio teacher and Mama through and through!!! Definitely google it! It primarily used in Early Childhood settkngs but is easily used at home!

I do, but I also combine traditional and some Waldorf in with it. My son is 3 and he can read and write independently. His daycare also has some Montessori concepts as well. His teachers are all required, including infant teachers, to have bachelor degrees and higher in early childhood. Some do have Montessori backgrounds and they have master degrees and teach the preschoolers. 
Montessori is pretty cool but I do like to keep traditional in with it, as well as a pinch of Waldorf.
