Has anyone ever gotten Nipt BOY results and then being WRONG?

I saw someone on FB post say they’ve gotten told the wrong gender through NIPT testing and now im freaking out lol

False readings are always an option. But in order to say boy, they need to find a y chromosome in your body. Woman do not have them (unless some rare disorder or blood transfusion lately). So it is really hard to get a boy wrong. You probably are more likely to have girl wrong, because that might mean, they just couldn't find the y even if it were there.

Usually the NIPT are over 99% accurate. That said, it is not 100% so it is possible to get the wrong result. I’ve had two NIPTs done with two different pregnancies and both were correct.

No because boy means they found a y chromosome. With my 2 girls it read "absence of y chromosome" but if they actually found the y, it's a boy

NIPT can be wrong only if you test too early and the fetal fracture isnt high enough. But in that case you would get a false Girl result (but you may be having a boy). 
I don't believe you can get a false Boy result because they are specifically looking for a Y Chromosome. I guess an exception to that could be a vanishing Male twin

That would be possible if there was some sort of deformity or genetic issues.

I've seen a few posts recently about different blood tests being wrong on the sex of baby. I've never personally had the test done though.
