swollen after sex

i had sex for the first time with my new boyfriend tonight. i’ve had sex before but it never really hurt and it hurt this time, and my vagina (like my labia) is sooooooo swollen and painful and i can feel it when i walk. it’s on both sides but mostly on the right side of my vagina, and its really sensitive and red. its probably just from rough sex but is there any way it could be vaginitis or something?
