Taking Cara Babies .. worth it?

Hi all - debating buying the Taking Cara Babies newborn & 3-4 month package, but at 100$ for a PDF and some online videos I’m a little hesitant... anyone recommend? Baby isn’t here yet so not even sure how good/bad of a sleeper he’ll end up being

Totally not worth it since sleep is developmental and for newborns and babies up to 4 months of age, there really isn’t much rhyme or reason to their sleeping patterns especially for a newborn. Infants also don’t tend to sleep longer stretches for naps until they’re older. It’s common and normal for them to cat nap (20-30 minutes tops) until around 6 months. For some babies it’s a bit younger and for some it’s a bit older. Doesn’t matter what kind schedule they’re on... All babies are different. There are a ton of resources on sleep out there for free.

every baby is different. what “experts” say to do, my daughter HATED. she was actually a tummy sleeper from one month to even now at 2. i’d just be cautious of spending money on something that won’t even help possible. the first few weeks is the hardest but get some basics down and you’ll be just fine

I never bought anything like that when my son was a newborn. Honestly, there are probably a ton of parenting books you can borrow from your local library for free that have the same information.

I messaged her and she replied that it wouldn’t be worth it for me since I don’t want to let my daughter cry it out in any fashion. We have found other ways to get her to sleep without ignoring her needs for any amount of time 😊

Honestly I think it would be better just to wait until baby is here, they could be an amazing sleeper or you might find something that works better for you that isn’t in this Taking Cara Babies thing. I don’t use any of the sleep techniques that I’ve read about online other than just the tip to keep the bedtime routine consistent.

I only did the 3-4 months because that one is significantly cheaper on its own. During the newborn stage, there really is not a lot you can do in regards to sleep. They have no rules lol. The 3-4 month was helpful but it’s not anything that most ppl don’t already know. I found that if you follow her Instagram. She gives most of the tips anyway!

I have not heard of it, so I'm not sure if it would be worth it, but we read and followed the book On Becoming Babywise and it worked great with our daughter. It works to help keep your baby on a feed-wake-sleep schedule to help them sleep through the night. It uses a combination of feeding on demand and on the clock, because not every baby shows feeding cues, and sometimes by then, they're starving. So once you get in a routine of feeding based on their cues and the clock, you can get in a routine of giving them a schedule that also includes naps. My daughter was sleeping 12 hours a night by 12 weeks old and she's been a good sleeper since. So that's just what we did. I'm recommending that because Taking Cara Babies sounds much more expensive! Haha.
