OBGYN advice

Soooo long story short I am 8 weeks pregnant with m donors baby. Me and him are friends. Nothing more. However he would like to occasionally be involved in the doctors appointments. This I don’t mind at all. However i just found out that my OBGYN is his ex wife from three years ago. They do not talk. He said it don’t bother me. But women to women. Do you think I should pull her aside after my first appointment and ask her if she prefers me seeking another doctor. She is great. Her bed side manor is awesome. As a women if you were in her shoes what would you prefer. I don’t wanna shock her and have him just show up. I kinda feel like a heads up is the right thing to do.
