Threatening miscarriage

I had missed two periods and so I tested and it came positive. The next night I started to spot (I thought this was unusual but I didn’t think anything of it...the next night when I went to wipe there was blood enough to cause concern so I went to the ER. They ran the blood tests and my HCG levels were measuring me at 11 weeks and then they had to do an ultrasound. With the regular sonogram they could not find the heartbeat so they did the vaginal one and they were still unable to find it and the pictures showed that I was only measuring 6w which would confirm why they couldn’t find the heartbeat...so they sent me home with paperwork on a threatened miscarriage but couldn’t no confirm or deny that I would miscarry or not.. I called the OB the next day so that I could schedule an appt, but here we are the third day and I’m still expelling blood/some type of mucusy substance that is brownish/red followed by the red on the toilet paper. Has anyone experienced this? Or something similar? What happened? Thanks
