Vacuum Extraction or Emergency C section

So I'm 37 weeks today and baby is coming out anytime soon. My doctor has been prepping me scenarios that may happen because I've chosen to go with natural vaginal delivery. He said if pushing takes too long and pute baby at risk there are two options. Vacuum extraction or emergency c section. I've read the risk of vacuum and wondered has anyone gone through it and had healthy baby ? Or would you go for c section?
