Help lol

okay so I am 19 and my periods have always been on time. I have an appointment to get on birth control in two weeks, but I have a problem that I need an answer for because I’ve never had this experience. so my boyfriend and I have been together for a while and we are sexually active. we use condoms for protection and he pulls out. recently, we had sex and i started bleeding. a lot. so he was like “did you just start your period?” And I said, “I might have because I’m supposed to start soon, but my period is in 4 days and it’s always on time so I don’t know.” **this part is a little graphic** The blood wasn’t old blood like period blood. It was bright red and really like watery?? It can’t be my period because I wore a pad and I’m not having anything on my pad??? I’m just really confused. I do have a doctors appointment soon, but I just need to know if this is common or if anyone here has experienced it.
