I need help

I got a positive opk 3 weeks ago and I still hvnt got my period I am irregular but I’m able to kinda detect them now I have been cramping like ima start my period but no period has showed up today I took another opk and came out extremely positive I don’t know what to think and to scared to take a pregnancy test just to be disappointed has any thing similar happened to anyone please let me know??
