I really like the name Madeleine/Madilyn. However, I prefer Mattie over Maddie. How would you spell it where I can use Mattie as the nickname? Thanks!

Spell the name with a "d" and the nickname with the "tt".   Please tell me where one can find the nickname "dick" within the name richard... Or the "dolly" in Dorothy".... See! Nicknames do not HAVE to have rules!  Do what makes you smile.

I spelled my oldest daughter's bame as "Madeline" and her tia calls her Mattie most if the time.💗
Nicknames don't always have to contain the same letters as the actual name. For the sake of God and what's holy in this world, please spell Madeline/Madilyn with a D😂

My daughters name is Madelyn.
 I preferred the Madeleine spelling but I knew spelling it as a child would be more difficult and didn’t want people calling her Madeline. 
As for nicknames only her grandmother calls her Maddie. But even so, we could have easily spelled a nickname Mattie but imo Maddie and Mattie sound almost identical. No one will be able pick up which letter it is when you’re saying it in passing. 
But if you like the T more I’d probably go with 
Matilyn or Mattilyn
