So my husband, 8 week old daughter, and I currently live with my parents. Last night, my dad tested positive in the ER for Influenza B. When my dad told them an 8 week old lived in his house, the ER doctor said she needs to get checked out by her pediatrician today, even if she's showing no symptoms.

So I call her ped today and they basically waved us off because she doesn't have a fever and last minute appointments are reserved for emergencies. Which I understand, but I'm just trying to do what the ER doctor recommended.

I pushed more, and FINALLY got them to make her an appointment for tomorrow afternoon but they're continuously making me feel like I'm making a big deal out of nothing and I feel like it was stupid for me to push to get her in. But I'm also surprised that they're willing to mess around with the flu and an infant like that. I don't know, it's probably nothing but shouldn't we make sure?
