Did I have a miscarriage?

I've had on and off light bleeding or spotting for about 3 weeks and have had extreme fatigue as well. I've been having some lower back pain this week and today I felt something come out, and it was about 3 inches long, mostly clear with what looked like veins maybe?? ( I was working and didn't get to look at it long or take a photo) I've never passed anything like it and don't usually have alot of clotting or tissue during my periods. Does this sound like it could've been a miscarriage or just normal lining? Should I take a pregnancy test?
