I told my crush I like him

Hey so I really need advice. This immigration be really long but please read. I met this guy on a dating app and we’ve been talking every single day for over 2 months. We’ve hung out twice at the movies and I started developing feelings for him.

Long story short I finally told him I liked him and it’s ok if it’s not mutual, I just don’t want anything to change. His response was:

“hmm I really like talking to you but idk if I like you like you yet. We haven’t hung out a lot other than the movies and we couldn’t talk much because it was a movie. But I’m definitely down to hang out more and see how things go. I’m also in a place where idrk if I want a relationship with anyone. Don’t get me wrong tho, you’re really cool and your personality is definitely my type.”

So I feel like his response was kinda wishy washy and ive always heard that if a guy says he’s not ready for a relationship, it just means he’s not ready for a relationship with you. What do you guys think? Should I just let it go or should I keep pursuing and have hope?
